Cambodia Breaking News, (Banteay Meanchey Province) : On the afternoon of January 7, 2021, a Chinese man died in a pool of blood after he was stabbed to death on the 11th floor of Genting Casino in Kbal Spean 1 Village, Poipet City.

Sources say that the victim was stabbed by another Chinese national, but this remains unconfirmed at this time, as the Poipet City Police are still investigating the killing. However, a Chinese man has been taken away for questioning.

Cambodia News,(Banteay Meanchey): At 5 am on January 7, 2021 at Genting Casino, Room 1111, in Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province, two Chinese people quarreled so much that one stabbed the other in the throat with a sharp knife.

Authorities said that after the incident, Poipet police force led by HE Meas Chanpiseth, Prosecutor of the Provincial Court arrived at the scene to investigate the murder. The chief suspect is Xie Xian, a 28-year-old Chinese national who was sharing the hotel room with the victim.
According to a police spokesman, the two men had a heated argument and Xie Xian took a 40-centimeter-long black plastic knife and stabbed the victim, Liu Yifong, in the throat. He died immediately at the scene.

Immediately after the incident, the Chinese room mate, Xie Xian, was arrested by the Poipet City Police Force and taken to the Poipet City Police Inspectorate for questioning, and he has now been charged with murder.
