Chonburi records 1st Covid-19 case in van of illegal Cambodian laborers
Chonburi records 1st Covid-19 case in van of illegal Cambodian laborers
Khmer woman crossed illegally into Thailand from Cambodia, tests positive for Covid...!
In Thailand a massive cluster of infections has been detected, from zero to well over 1200 cases in only 5 days! Now already spread in at least 23 provinces.
It looks like this van full of illegal Cambodians just crossed into Thailand and brought the infection from Cambodia, but the path of the transmission is not yet confirmed.
Should this be yet another case of testing positive immediately after leaving the country..., then we might reach soon the point where more people tested positive just after leaving the country then within covid-free Scambodia...

Chonburi records 1st Covid-19 case in van of illegal Cambodian laborers
Chonburi recorded its first coronavirus case since the Samut Sakhon seafood-market outbreak when police intercepted a van of illegal Cambodian migrant laborers, one of whom tested positive for Covid-19.
The 11 illegals were in a crowded minivan when they were stopped at a checkpoint in Panthong District. All the occupants were tested, with a 19-year-old woman testing positive for the coronavirus, Gov. Pakarathorn Thienchai said in a Wednesday briefing.

Impossible. There is no Covid in Cambodia apart from the Chinese. Thai people are immune. What a sham.

" It looks like this van full of illegal Cambodians just crossed into Thailand "
I would have thought the road would have been closed, with officials to stop anybody from doing this, as the border is meant to be closed ?

Cambodia and Thailand are or were in conversation about opening the Poi Pet border to let the Cambodian migrant workers cross to their jobs in Thailand. It seems like no need to do anything official, nudge nudge wink wink greased palm's, or if that doesn't work there's place to cross near by, it's not like there's a 20 foot wall in anyone's way.jaynewcastle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 05, 2021 11:10 pm " It looks like this van full of illegal Cambodians just crossed into Thailand "
