Pass App Gang Caught Stealing Dogs in Kandal

Cambodia News (Kandal): On January 3, 2021, at 4:30am, there was a dog theft in Sangkat Rok Kpos, Takmao city, Kandal. The victim was identified as Lao Sithay, a factory worker who lives in Takmao city, Kandal.

While the victim was sleeping, the suspects took a PassApp tuk-tuk to steal the victim's dog. Sam Makara was the tuk-tuk driver, and Panha used a rope to catch the dog and used an iron bar to hit the dog, and May Sokna went to pick the dog.

The three suspects, San Makara,36 years old, a PassApp driver, May Sokna, 25 years old, and Panha, 25 years old, ran away to escape from the scene when confronted by the dog owner. He chased the thieves and caught two of them with the evidence. The police confiscated a PassApp tuk-tuk plate PP1HI-0653, a 30-centimeter iron bar, a 150-centimeter rope, 2 big bags, and plastic bags.

The suspects were sent to the police station, where they admitted that they took the tuk-tuk to steal in the village. The suspects with the evidence were sent to Takmao city police station following the legal procedure.

In Vietnam, dog thieves regularly get beaten to death when caught as the police does nothing.
