Drunk Military Officer Kills Moto Driver in Phnom Penh

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A construction worker named as Son Nang, male, 36 years old, living in Kandal Province was killed in a traffic accident when his black Honda motorcycle, with license plate number 1R-7396, was hit by a white Lexus LX450, license plate Phnom Penh 2I-7318, driven by Lieutenant-colonel Phin Sophan, male (drunk), a member of the Army Command Unit.

On Friday, December 18, 2020, a military officer drove his car in the wrong direction and hit a motorbike, causing the husband to die and his wife (passenger), to be seriously injured on National Road No. 3, in Prey Pring Tbong 2 Village, Sangkat Choam Chao II, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.

At first, the car was seen driving along National Road No. 3 in the direction from north to south at high speed, while the motorcycle that was driving from south to north was hit when the car drove into the lane of the victim's motorcycle and hit the vehicle head-on, killing the driver and seriously injuring the passenger.

Authorities took the drunk driver to the 2nd Chaom Chao Administrative Police Station to deal with the legal procedure.
