New Garment Factory to Open in Phnom Penh
AKP Phnom Penh, July 01, 2020 --
Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved an investment project to establish a garment factory in Phnom Penh.

According to a CDC press release issued yesterday, with an investment capital of US$3.2 million, the newly approved project could generate around 654 jobs for the locals.

Located in the Meanchey district, this investment project belongs to XSLJ (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., pointed out the same source.

New Shoe Factory to Open in Kampong Cham Province
AKP Phnom Penh, July 16, 2020 --

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has approved an investment project to establish a shoe factory in Kampong Cham province.

According to a CDC press release made public this morning, with an investment capital of US$10.3 million, the newly approved project could generate 3,379 jobs for the locals.

Located in the Chheu Teal village, Pdao Chum commune, Cheung Prey district, this investment project belongs to Mann Long Shoes Co., Ltd., pointed out the same source.

Logwood Apparel to set up garment factory in Cambodia

Logwood Apparel Co., Ltd. has received a nod from the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to construct a garment factory in Kandal Stung district of Kandal province. The company will invest $2.7 million to produce clothing and facemasks. The new project will create 814 employment opportunities for local people, the CDC said in a statement.

Seven Investment Projects Licensed
AKP Phnom Penh, September 30, 2020 --

Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) has given the green light to seven new investment projects with a total investment capital of more than US$23 million.

According to the council's press release issued yesterday, the newly approved projects are expected to create some 4,080 jobs for the locals.

The seven projects cover the production of clothes, facemasks, packaging materials, plastic products, artificial leather, lighting bulbs, wires, cardboard boxes, etc.

The projects belong to Global Asia Apparel (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Sinodex Garment (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Good Plus (Cambodia) Manufacture Co., Ltd., Biao Xin Sheng Packaging and Printing Co., Ltd., Leadone International Co., Ltd., New Phoenix Development Industry Co., Ltd., and Simple Packing Products Co., Ltd. in Phnom Penh capital city and Svay Rieng province.

Such investment amid COVID-19 outbreak demonstrates confidence of foreign investors in Cambodia’s macroeconomic, political and social stability though threatened by the pandemic.

CDC okays five projects worth $121M

The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) on December 4 said it had issued final registration certificates to five investment projects worth more than $121 million and which are expected to generate 1,334 jobs.

The CDC said it issued final registration certificates for Inter-Mattrid Beverage (Cambodia) Co Ltd’s $78 million brewery, Ruizexing Chemical Technology Co Ltd’s $20.1 million agricultural pesticide plant and Sing Fu Sun (Cambodia) Plastic Co Ltd’s $11.7 million PET perform factory.

The three projects are located in Kandal province’s eastern Kien Svay district and will provide jobs for 550, 174 and 52 locals, respectively, it noted.

It also issued certificates for Blissfull Capital Co Ltd’s $9.5 million commercial centre along National Road 2 in Phnom Penh’s southern Meanchey district and Chunteng Industrial (Cambodia) Co Ltd’s $2.6 million pet-friendly upholstery-fabric factory in Kampong Speu province’s southeastern Kong Pisey district.

The two projects are expected to generate 200 and 358 jobs, it added.

According to the council's press release issued this afternoon, the projects newly approved are expected to create some 1,950 jobs for the locals.

The three projects, including a yarn factory, a garment factory, and a wooden furniture factory, belong to Lak Sun (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Sinokh Perfect Garment Co., Ltd., and Dongan (Cambodia) Wood Co., Ltd. located in Kampong Speu, Kandal, and Preah Sihanouk provinces, respectively.
