16Yo Girl Steals Motorbike from Siem Reap Market

Cambodia News (Siem Reap): On December 12, 2020, at 6:20 am, the police arrested a 16-year-old girl for stealing a motorbike at Pouk market, Chombok Hek village, Pok district, Siem Reap.

The victim was identified as Vong Navin, a 33-year-old man, a farmer, who lost a Honda Dream motorbike, plate SR 1V-8105. He was robbed while he was selling his vegetables at the market.

Lieutenant Peung Chenda, deputy director of the criminal department, said that the police searched for the suspect through the security cameras outside the market. As a result, the suspect was arrested for questioning, and she admitted that she stole the man's motorbike.

Desperation sets in. Siem Reap was always a poverty stricken province, outside of the tourist area it's quite arid and unproductive. We will be seeing a lot more of this.
