Phnom Penh: According to the National Police General Commission, the press release of the Quick Reaction Team of the National Police Commission has seen the publication and sharing on social media related to a hairdresser using the uniform of a National Police officer.

The Personnel Department of the National Police General Commission of the Ministry of Interior conducted a search to find the identity of the man and to find the source of the police uniform supplier.

On the afternoon of December 8, 2020, following the orders of the leadership of the Personnel Department, Major General Sam Samoun, Commissioner of Kampong Speu Provincial Police, led the search force to identify the man and summoned him for questioning.

Phan Sopheakdey, a 38-year-old man who works as a hairdresser at a shop in Sangkat Rokar Thom, Chbar Morn City, Kampong Speu Province, confessed that the National Police uniform (that special shirt) belonged to Brigadier General Ngam Ry, Deputy Commissioner for Criminal Affairs of the Kampong Speu Provincial Police, who on December 7, 2020 at 8:30, drove a car with a police license plate to the barber shop to cut his hair. The hairdresser asked to wear the police shirt for a facebook selfie and he agreed.

But then the National Police General Commission saw the photo posted on social media and investigated the case.
