Dietary supplements

Post by chiltern »

A friend in Phnom Penh has recently lost a lot of weight following a illness and needs to gain weight. Has anybody a recommendation of a supplement available in Phnom Penh which would help and if so where to obtain it.

Thanks

Its probably better to help him with a nutritious diet. If you opt for supplements instead, its important to check the nutritional information as some many just be full of sugar.

I agree however he does eat a balanced diet but his appetite is not as good as before so I was hoping to find some sort of nutritional drink that would help to supplement his diet.

Go to a sports supplement shop and buy a high protein weight gainer in a flavour he likes. They're fairly cheap and will help, even if he takes like 1/4 of the "recommended" portion per day as a shake (with whole milk). The portions are insane on those (like 1000+ cals), so you can break that down into a more manageable portion in grams.
