Dramatic moment bridge snaps plunging 30 Miss Thailand contestants into dirty pond

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

I love the fact that instead of being the expected 'entitled divas', most of the girls seemed to see the funny side of it, laughing even while they were sitting in the water. Good on them, a great lesson in not taking yourself too seriously.

The owner paid out $12.5k for their injuries & treatment.

"Three of the girls were injured with one suffering cuts and bruises on her forehead while the two others had minor scrapes"

You give them a bit too much credit.

Smiling and laughing is the default reaction of all Thais. To most situations.

You can never be sure how much subjugated resentment is roiling underneath the ever present "Thai smile".

I feel like they should have paid him for breaking his bridge.
