Cambodian Song Lyrics (requests welcome)

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

I'm in City Comfort near the airport, nice large room with large balcony, food is Khmer style, no choice, adequate portions but if you got any experience with cambodian meat its a bit ropey, todays lunch has been the best meal yet with a beef curry, cheered me up somewhat as the meals yesterday were not the best!
hopefully you get somewhere better than here, but there is also worse than here too, having the balcony is an added luxury that not all the hotels offer, its a chance to go outside and get the feeling that you are free without actually being free haha, sit out on the balcony with my laptop each afternoon is not a bad set up, my mate is doing quarantine in thailand atm and he doesnt even have a fucking window, now that must be painful :plus1:

Hello and a Happy New Year to you!

I wanted to ask if you could translate this song for me. There are a lot of Khmer Oldies songs of which I would like to know the meanings behind them.

When the song is sung again, it changes to,

សប្បាយកន្លង
Very happy

Although ភក្ដី is a variant of ភក្ដិ, មិត្តភក្តិ is a collocation. It simply means 'friend(s)' as, unlike ភក្ដី, the meaning of 'true' is not emphasised. In other words, ភក្ដី is used alone, while ភក្ដិ in compounds.
