Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On December 4, 2020, at 4:30 pm, a suspect was arrested after snatching a bag from a foreign couple on the street 430,/ 271, Sangkat Toul Tompong, Khan Chamkarmorn, Phnom Penh. The suspect was identified as Pich Chan, called Avai, 21 year old, living in Khan Chamkarmorn.

Before the incident, a Chinese couple were passengers in a tuk-tuk on street 430 driving from north to south, when suddenly a man on a Honda Scoopy motorbike, plate PP1II-2980, drove up close to the tuk-tuk, and snatched a bag from the Chinese woman.

She screamed for help, and the suspect's motorbike tipped over, and he tried to run away. However, the local people caught him and beat him up. Then he was sent to the police station.

The police returned a bag containing some money and a passport to the victim. The suspect was detained at Khan Chamkarmorn police station for case preparation following the legal procedure.
