Cambodia News, Pursat Province: Traffic accidents, whether by air, land or water, will always happen if the driver does not obey the traffic rules and is careless or drives dangerously.

For example, on the night of November 30, at 8:20 pm on the waterway in Kampong Luong commune, Krakor district, Pursat province, authorities said that two motorized boats were running on the waterway in the dark in opposite directions, when the first boat collided head-on with the second boat and left the accicent scene. At the scene, one woman was found drowned and the driver of the hit and run boat escaped.

Authorities said the perpetrator was likely drunk, was driving faster than usual, and probably had poor night vision due to the narrow waterway. All these things may have contributed to the accidental death of Loeung Thilong, a 25-year-old female (unmarried) living in Village 1, Kampong Luong Commune, Srok District.
Authorities are searching for the perpetrator in order to arrest and prosecute the person according to the law.
