Vietnamese Man Arrested with Teeny-Weeny Packet of Drugs

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

With that garbage methamphetamine though, is there any small amount that should be OK? Something that hooks you in from the first try and has a tolerance in the body, therefore making larger amounts necessary to chase that dragon, then makes you antisocially crazy shouldn't be tolerated one bit. 6 months to 1 year ought to do it, 3 years is not necessary. Or have I just tolerated it?

That might be true. But some people must love that poison with the massive amounts that are seized all the time.

How about nicotine slaves? Why does society continue to tolerate them?

They seem harmless enough, but that's because their drug supply is readily available.

Alcohol is implicated in one quarter of all homicides globally
Alcohol is implicated in 37 percent of sexual assaults and rapes globally

Yeah. Ban smoking, good call.
You know that tingly little feeling you get when you really like someone? That's common sense leaving your body.

Drugs and drug use are not the pox, they are the spots.
ie, just a symptom of the pox.

Our dysfunctional society and unnatural way of living is the pox that is causing the spots.
No use whatsoever in just trying to stamp out the spots when you've got the pox.
It doesn't work.

if you get what i mean.

It's not always the case of what the people (drug user) would want. But more so what is readily available, and produced. Looking at this country in particular, cannabis is a no no because it is outlawed and easy detected, also the people of the country are of the younger generation and do not prefer that kind of drug, they seem to want an upper in most cases, such has methamphetamine, it seems people of the time need that of a stimulant drug.
Two ways of looking at it "drugs available" sell, "drug demand" sell. In this case I would think the first reason, because the drug is cheap to produce in large volume, if the maker has a large lab, that it seems he has in the golden triangle, with an excellent sales value, and produced from materials bought on the open market that are for sale to everyone. Who would run this type of operation? Would it surely be the elusive Mr Ice, what do you think.
Always "hope" but never "expect".
