Thief Caught Stealing at a Funeral Gets a Beating

Cambodia News (Kampong Cham): A man got badly beaten after he was caught in the act of stealing at a funeral in Chray Veang village, Prey Chor district, Kampong Cham. The victim was identified as Noun Ratana, a 32-year-old man, from Khan Porsenchey, Phnom Penh.

The funeral host said on November 29, 2020, at 02:40 am, the suspect named Sok Kamsoth, a 36-year-old man, crept into his house and stole two phones (1 iPhone and 1 Vivo phone) and 137,200 riels while people were sleeping. However, some people woke up and caught the suspect red-handed. The suspect got a beating before being sent to the police.

The suspect from Prey Chor district admitted that he committed the crime. He was detained following the legal procedure.
