Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): The department of cybercrime police reported that on November 26, 2020, the police force, together with the local authority and ZINVO LLC company, coordinated by Mr. Say Naro the court prosecutor, cracked down two shops for selling fake ZINVO watches.

Is there any thing these people won't do, except something good

"brand name watches, such as ZINVO, GUCCI, and CASIO"
I have always aspired to own a Casio timepiece.
I don't care if it is real. I just want one.
That classic digital face - timeless.
Do they have any clock radios too?

^^^ The central atrium at Central Market is chock full of watch vendors I guess it's okay for the locals but not okay when the Chinese try and muscle in on a piece of the action?

You are right there, I would say many have turned to online sales, it probably keeps them at arm's length from the law, like we see above, but what happened or didn't to the two shops on the same row selling the same good's.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:49 pm That's a bit rich given that tons of Khmers sell counterfeits ad well...
I remember buying a few fake watches from Thailand, they never really worked properly. But if you want a real watch then go to a repretable dealers who will provide you with a receipt of sale and warranty for the timepiece.
If you have difficulties in choice the PM could probably point you in the right direction.

If making money coincides with doing something good, then something good will be done.atst wrote:Is there any thing these people won't do, except something good
But the primary motivator is make money. Using any and all means possible.

I'm surprised the Cambodian authorities lifted a finger to protect the IP of an American company. Maybe somebody wasn't paying the right people the right amount of money to turn a blind eye.
They are only $200 watches direct from the company, I'm surprised there's much of a demand for fakes to gear up to make them.
