Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey): On November 26, 2020, at 6:30 pm, an old lady was found murdered in a room at Morom Nives pagoda, in Sala Deng village, Monkul Borey district, Banteay Meanchey. The victim was identified as Sao Seth, an 82-year-old nun living at the pagoda.

The police said that they received the information of the woman's death from a monk named Kim Sokkhum, 29 years old, who went to pee at a toilet near the room where the victim was staying. He heard the noise of a radio in her room, but when he checked, the victim was missing. Then, he asked two other monks named Ros Leang, 26 years old, and Sok Rong, 25 years old, to search for the victim. They found the body of the old woman in a nearby room and reported the finding to the police immediately.

The criminal police and Mongkul Borey police, led by lieutenant colonel Seth Los, the police chief, went to the scene to examine the body. The police concluded that the victim was killed by getting attacked in the face. The police are investigating the case and are searching for the killer.
