Cambodia News, (Pailin): On November 27, 2020, a traffic accident occurred between two cars on National Road 59 driving in the opposite direction at Phnom Spong Health Center in Tuol Khpos Village, Stung Trang Commune, Sala Krao District, Pailin Province. One car was a Toyota HiLux Revo with RCAF plates, and the other vehicle was a Lexus. Three women were injured in the Lexus, while the RCAF driver escaped unharmed.

The owner of the Hilux is Lieutenant Colonel Huot Pho, the 49-year-old Deputy Commander of the Sala Krao District Gendarmerie, living in Phnom Spong Village, Sala Krao Commune, Sala Krao District, Pailin Province. The car was driving from north to south at high speed when it hit the Lexus coming in the opposite direction. However, the owner of the car above denied that he was driving the car at the time of the accident.

Cause: The accident was caused by a human factor (HiLux Revo driver) driving under the influence of alcohol and laziness, lack of caution and driving at high speeds (and not cooperating with the specialized force of the Provincial Road Traffic Police Office to check for alcohol).
