Chinese Gang Arrested with Kidnapping Kit in Sihanoukville

Cambodia News (Sihanoukville): On November 25, 2020, at 9 pm, Prey Nup District Administrative Unity Command led the police force in a vehicle stop and search operation, checking for weapons and drugs, between poles no.173-174, in Prey Nup district, Sihanoukville.

Then at 00:10 am, on November 26, 2020, the police stopped a car, plate PP2BC-6802, and there were 4 Chinese people in the car. When they searched the vehcle, police found a bag full of kidnapping equipment. The police confiscated 1 shock stick, 1 pair of handcuffs, a case of handcuffs, 5 pairs of gloves, a bunch of wire, 18 masks, 4 knives, 1 jacket, 2 phones, and a car.

The 4 Chinese men inside the car were arrested. The suspects were identified as ZHANG GE XIN,50 years old, LU LU, 35 years old, SONG JIA MING, 37 years old, and JIANG BAO, 43 years old. None of the men has a passport.

The police are preparing the case following the legal procedure.

Could that be a kit for something legitimate and not for kidnapping? How did they determine that this kit was for the specific purpose of kidnapping? Or did these dudes have prior kidnapping raps?
