Cambodia News,(Siem Reap Province): Siem Reap Provincial Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police Force have arrested the owner of Fashion World Store. The Director of the Provincial Office of Anti-Human Trafficking and Protection of Minors, Colonel Chea Heng, said that the arrest was in accordance with arrest warrant No. 839 issued by the Siem Reap Provincial Court.

He said that the arrested person was Heng Sovann, a 33-year-old man, the owner of a shop called "Fashion World Brand", located in front of Leu Thom Thmey Market in Chong Kaosou Village, Slor Kram Sangkat, Siem Reap City. He is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl named H.T.R., employee of the above shop.

According to the victim's explanation, at night while other employees went up to sleep on the second floor, usually the owner of the shop named Heng Sovann called the victim to meet in his room. He was the boss, and she was only 14, and she didn't know what to do. When she arrived in his room, the shopkeeper hugged her, kissed her on the lips, took off her pants and stripped her, and raped her on several occasions.

In the end the girl made a report to the authorities, and the suspect was sent to court on the afternoon of November 25, 2020 to continue the proceedings.

Rape is about power over someone, not sexual desire. Seeing his obvious physical and possibly intellectual shortcomings, a 14 year old girl is all can overcome.
