I'm in the same situation: US passport, tourist visa, entered in March.
Has anyone considered Thailand's new "special tourist visa?"
From what I've read, it's a 90 day visa that can be extended twice.

Why the assumption that a tourist wouldn’t have savings at their disposal? Not everyone lives from hand to mouth.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 10:41 am not Cambodia specific but

Cool, so where are you staying? I am at a homestay in PP, BKK3, ive been at the same place since May, its a good value, i figure, has TV, AC, fridge etc, so why bother moving. i think next month i may hit the islands, then just stay out there until some other country opens up.HomelessABC wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:34 am I'm in the same situation: US passport, tourist visa, entered in March.

You can now get a regular tourist visa ( valid for 60 days)

bet not many unless there retired or independently wealthy
by my definition a tourist travels (average a 2-4 week vacation/year) during his time off from work.
so to be somewhere with no work.......
thats all i am saying, u all can make of it what you what...
I understand there are retired people ( usually on long stay visas)
digital nomads, trying to work the system where ever they are
Trust fund babies
etc etc

I'm not american but reading the requirements, you need to buy return airfare, quarantine hotel accommodation, travel insurance, then post all this plus your passport to Thailand with visa fee, hopefully to receive back a Visa, seems a bit risky to me what if you didn't get granted the visa?
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Re: Tourist Visas????
There are plenty of people out there who graft hard and salt some of their earnings away, sure they might only take 2-4 weeks holiday a year, but probably because that’s all they are allowed, doesn’t mean they couldn’t afford to take more/longer holidays.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 12:04 pmHow many out there have enough sayings to take them thru 8-10 months of no income?Chad Sexington wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:43 amWhy the assumption that a tourist wouldn’t have savings at their disposal?
