Man Arrested After Stabbing His Drinking Buddy

Cambodia News (Preah Vihear): On November 23, 2020, a 27-year-old man, Sareth Saren, was arrested after using a knife to stab a man to death in Sen Rongroeng village, Cham Kamsan district, Preah Vihear. The victim, Rab Beb, a 24-year-old man originally from Siem Reap, died at the scene.

The victim and the suspect were neighbors and drinking buddies who lived in Sen Sonroeung village. They had an argument while they were drinking together, then the suspect grabbed his knife and stabbed the other man.

The police of Cham Kamsan district arrested the suspect following the legal procedure. The body was returned to the family for funeral preparation.

Seems like lots of Cambodians have anger management issues and most of times, resulting in certain death... Unlike many other countries where consequences are abused physically...

Agree. Disposing of the drinking buddy in a shallow grave ? Now that smells like a plan, not an accident.

That’s not a shallow grave, the victim is laying on wood chips from where they have been ripping logs into boards with the chainsaw. It looks like they may have been sitting on the lumber drinking when it’s kicked off. If the perp is holding the murder weapon in the 1st picture, then the victim wasn’t stabbed, rather he was hacked or chopped to death, still a nasty way to go.
