LOL. It was just a humble suggestion for the internet crime squad who may be reading the forums to pass on to the appropriate people.crob wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:16 pmOh HoneyAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 5:52 pmIMO, if the Cambodian authorities really wanted to stem the flow of drugs into the country, they would get rid of the current Laos border officials, and send in a new team to clean up the drug trafficking. And also pay them properly so they don't have to exist from bribes.
I know that the big trafficking is covered by people in power, but I believe (or hope) that there are others in high places who want to clean this up. The Cambodian land borders have always been run like little fiefdoms, where the officials are left to do pretty much as they please. But the increase in drug trafficking is affecting the whole population. Time to step up. The country is drowning in meth, and as JB said, the drugs don't just pass through Cambodia now; grandmas sell it, farmers sell it, city kids sell it in nightclubs, homeless people sell it to other homeless.

I don't know, that DoubleUOGlobe heroin doesn't even bother with disguises but has been popular for at least 50 years. Maybe Green Tree brand ice is known as a quality product on the meth scene? Fuck that shit.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Man busted with 50kg of drugs meant for export
Soth Koemsoeun | Publication date 22 November 2020 | 22:27 ICT
A man was sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court on November 21 after being arrested while packaging drugs in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district.
The arrest also led to a raid at his rental home in Por Sen Chey district, where the National Police’s anti-drug department officers seized nearly 50kg of methamphetamine and other drugs allegedly packaged for export abroad.
Anti-drug department director Lek Vannak on November 22 said the suspect, 35, was sent to court on November 21 to begin legal proceedings.
He said the suspect was caught on November 18 while packaging drugs in Sen Sok district’s Phnom Penh Thmei commune. Police at the time confiscated two packages of methamphetamine weighing about 100 grammes.
After questioning, the police searched his room in Por Sen Chey district’s Chaom Chao commune and seized more than 40kg of methamphetamine, or Ice, as well as 302 grammes of Ecstasy and 77 grammes of the hypnotic drug Nimetazepam.
“I cannot estimate how much it is worth because we have to consider product prices, material prices, export prices and wholesale and retail prices. So we are still researching the value of the drugs.
[The suspect] used these drugs for export and distributed them to certain countries abroad.
He also kept some to distribute locally, and we are searching for any relevant accomplices,” Vannak said.

Re: 40Kgs of "Chinese Tea" Meth Seized in Phnom Penh Drug Raid
Until Iron Man publicly says something about it, the border will still continue to be easily bribed fiefdoms.
Even so, the Lao officials have publicly said they aren’t stopping any drugs bound for the Cambodian border. Just the opposite, encouraging it so it doesn’t end up in Laos.
Only Khmer troops on the relatively short border would slow it down.
Plus deployment would give the average Cambodian solider something more to do than grow food. And RCAF commanders something more than get drunk and negligently discharge firearms.
