Drunk Tries to Strangle M-I-L in Domestic Violence Case

Cambodia News (Pailin): On November 17, 2020, the criminal police of Sala Krao police station received a complaint about domestic violence at 5:30 pm, in Thnol Bot village, Sala Krao district, Pailin.
The suspect was identified as Khorn Koeun, a 30-year-old man, and the victim is his mother-in-law, 56-year-old Beav Seng.

Before the incident, the suspect was very drunk and argued with his wife. But his wife walked away to avoid the argument. Then, the suspect started to insult his mother-in-law, and provoked an argument with her. Suddenly, the suspect attacked the victim and tried to strangle her to death. There does not seem to be a motive for the attack, except that the man was drunk and looking for a fight, so he picked on his family.

The suspect was arrested and sent to Sala Krao police station for case preparation following the legal procedure.
