9 Chinese Deported for Sex and Drug Offenses

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: On November 13th and 14th, 2020, the Sihanoukville International Airport Gate Police Station cooperated with the Preah Sihanouk Immigration Office to deport nine Chinese nationals for illegal activities in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The five Chinese men were arrested for drug abuse, and the the four women were involved in illegal sex work. They have all been banned from re-entering the Kingdom of Cambodia for three years.

According to the police, the nine Chinese nationals were identified as CHEN SHIRONG, a 30-year-old male, LAN TIAN, a 24-year-old male, and YOU SUNWEN, a 34-year-old male. LI TIAN GANG, Male, 42 years old, 5-QIN FANGLUO, Male, 25 years old, and the women are 6-DENG XUAN, Female, 22 years old, 7-WEI XIAOFANG, Female, Age 29-year-old YANG SHUO, a 23-year-old female, and LU CHUNXIANG, a 43-year-old female.

It's sad when they have to deport these women who could easily find gainful employment here.

Exactly, I see that provision on all of these "deportations". Why only 3 years? Is that only for Chinese? Do there countries only exile foreign criminals for just a few years? Why would Cambodia allow people like this back into the country? You would think with 1.3 billion Chinese that permanently exiling a few of these low life's would leave alot more Chinese available to occupy Cambodia forever. Do any of you legal experts know the rationale for this timeline?

Do they serve any time in jail here or fined before departure,or just departure because there's no where enough prisons for them all

I'd wager that they just pay a hefty fine and are maybe deported?

Nice quiet little earner for Cambodian police / Immigration officials.

They just let westerners rot behind bars because most westerners caught up in criminality here are embarrassingly destitute and / or would raise a stink with their embassy about being extorted and / or having to pay bribes.

The Chins just pay up and get out of Dodge.
