Independence Day 2020 - 9 November
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: The celebration of the 67th year of Cambodian Independence from French colonial rule was a more restrained affair than usual, due to fears of spreading the Covid-19 virus. Everyone at the ceremony was wearing a mask, but social distancing was difficult. The King was present, but the Cambodian PM was unable to attend because he is currently self-isolating, following medical advice.
