How to get a free beer

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

How to get a free beer

Post by lagrange »

Well I finally made it through the visa hassles and the crazy bureaucracy, and I am now in Phnom Penh. I will be here for a month or so, then going up to Siem Reap for a while. Whats the free beer deal you ask? Well to celebrate my arrival, if any CEO member spots me in a PP bar between now and when I go to SR, just come up and say "I saw you on CEO" and I buy you a beer. Sort of like the competitions the Daily Express used to run, if you remember back that far. So this is me, name Dave, and I will be thrilled to meet you. Probably.Image

Hopefully no one will see you in a bar until after you've completed your 2 weeks self-quarantine period.

Visa in Hand, now, but I won’t be in Phnom Penh now until mid December. Which means beers outside sometime after Christmas!

I assume he has already done his 14 days. If not, we may be reading about him in another thread very soon!

errr...yeah, course thats what I meant. Although I can't see the point - negative test before leaving London, negative test on arrival, 2 days isolation in a hotel. Still, orders is orders I suppose.

Have you not read all the reports of those testing positive on their 2nd test on day 13? Please don't be that guy that fucks it up for the rest of the country and/or those who will be travelling to Cambodia.

The fact that the Hungarian delegation weren't required to quarantine has now caused the closure of schools, entertainment venues, gyms, etc ....AGAIN.
