Two AK47 Weapons Found Buried in Samlot District Farm
Cambodia News, (Battambang): On the afternoon of November 4, 2020, two AK47 rifles, with ammunition were found by villagers while clearing land in Group 9, Kanchang Village, Song Commune, Samlot District. Battambang Province.
Lt. Col. Men Rim, Samlot District Police Inspector, confirmed the report that the two weapons were found by Tim Sarin, a 65-year-old male resident of the above area, while he was digging up his farmland.
The inspector said that at the time of the discovery, the two weapons were rusty and completely useless. He confirmed that they appear to have been hidden since the war, and were wrapped in protective packaging before they were buried, but they are now only souvenirs of wartime with no further use.
