Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On November 1, 2020, at 9:30 am, an unidentified foreign man committed suicide by jumping from the 3rd-floor of Bayon hospital in Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkamorn, Phnom Penh. The victim, who was not officially identified, was aged about 40 years old, and had no job and no passport.

A witness to the scene named Ou Chamnab, a 34-year-old man who is staying in the hospital, reported to the police that he saw a foreigner walk into the hospital. At first he thought that the man had just come to visit a patient, but shortly afterwards, he heard a falling sound. He and the doctor rushed to check what had happened and they saw the victim lying on the ground.
The victim was unconscious, so he was taken into the hospital for treatment, but he passed away in the emergency room.

The police concluded that the victim died from a self-inflicted fall. The body was taken to keep at the Teuk Thlar pagoda, waiting for the family to be notified. RIP.
