UK News, Updates and Discussion

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

Set it up at the airports and the travel crisis should be over.

Problem is the government has spent rather a lot on all those PCR labs contracts to process their 500,000 tests a day, so they wont be changing course anytime soon.

As usual, if you want something done properly, don't let the government anywhere near it.

Well, that looks like like two big wins for Rupert Murdoch and the Dark Gnomes.

USA, now UK - totolly at war with itself.
Divided and conquered.
Job done.

They have made some very bad choices during their very expensive breathing space in the summer. The spent billions on a track and trace system that does not work and never could with high numbers of transmission and the British people's reluctance to tell officials anything.

They should of spent the money expanding the hospital capacity, not closing the nightingale units. They should of added 100,000 beds with lots of oxygen supplies and as many ventilators they could muster. ALL Covid-19 patients should be taken there, NOT the general hospitals. The last thing sick people in hospital need is a new airborne infection to have to fight off and many deaths were of people already in hospital that caught Covid-19 while in there.

Shield the highly vulnerable and let the the under 50's just get on with things. Those over 50 and in good health can make their own choices, and live with the consequences (or die from them). Unfortunately, after decades of brainwashing people with the endless pursuit of health and safety, much of the country has been turned into timid little wimps who expect or demand 100% safety. It's time to toughen up, buttercups, and face reality. It's showtime!!

The cost to the economy is yet to be fully appreciated and another lockdown will just cause even more damage. This is knife edge time.
