Just finished Elizabeth Beckers (who wrote when the war was over) book "Overbooked"
She will need do an update, post covid, as Trillions of $$ have been and will be lost to every country.
She states 1 in 12 of the worlds employed work in the tourism field

Not sure that number is correct unless you count all the people working indirectly in tourism (farmers that sell their produce to hotels and restaurants, freelance guides that work part-time, shoe-shine guys, hookers, etc.).She states 1 in 12 of the worlds employed work in the tourism field
