Cambodia News (Siem Reap): Mr. Lok Pos, Ang Chum district governor, reported that on October 22, 2020, the local people were alarmed to find a large dead crocodile stuck in the drain in Ang Chum district, Siem Reap.
After receiving the information that people had found a crocodile, the district governor said the district worker collaborated with the local people to check the scene, retrieve the crocodile, and search for the crocodile owner.

The crocodile owner named Soy Saron, a 50-year-old man, said he just bought that crocodile and put it in the cage. However, it was very unhappy, and on October 18, 2020, it attacked the cage until it was dead. He couldn't bury it yet, because of the flooding, so he took the dead crocodile and left it outside the house. When the flood waters rose, the crocodile floated away and got stuck on the drain, and that's where it was spotted by local people.

The crocodile owner said he was sorry and he didn't mean to scare people by letting the body of crocodile float away, and it was an accident. "Please don't be scared, because the crocodile was already dead".
