Totally agree had same experience with a friend who passed away not long ago in Siem reapAnchor Moy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 18, 2020 8:40 pm Posting news of expat deaths is difficult, but it is a service connecting those of us in Cambodia. I learnt of a friend's decease on CEO last year. We would meet up every year or so. I considered the deceased as my friend even if we didn't see each other very often. I was glad to have some sort of closure as to why I had no more news from him.
As to the family of Claude Hendy, please accept my condolences. It is very difficult to lose the people you love when they are far away. I've been through this and I feel for you.
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Very minor point but maybe worth considering given the consistency of relatives and friends of deceased appearing here and expressing their objection to the reporting of the death on here. Might it be better to start each reported death with the message of sympathy and that it is being reported to inform those that knew him and may be unaware of their passing.
I realise condolences are expressed at the end but the ire of the relative has probably been raised before they get that far.
