Hunters in the Dark.

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Hunters in the Dark

..the film was written by Osborne from his own novel, about an Englishman adrift in Cambodia who’s eager to sidestep a life of quiet desperation as a smalltown teacher.

"Shot against the backdrop of modern Cambodia, a country that is itself trying to construct a new face to mask the horrors it endured in the second half of the 20th century, Hunters will explore identity, atonement and the dark currents that flow underneath human nature and fight back when we try to change our path," said Evans.

TEFLer the Movie. Sounds rather dull as a concept.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Yeah yeah I know I am resurrecting an old topic but that was about the movie. I have recently been reading the book and its a really good read. Its an engaging and almost poetic story about an innocent abroad. Battambang and Phnom Penh around 2015 through the eyes of a naive and carefree young English guy, with enough mystery and drama to keep the story going. The observations of the Khmers and the expats are spot on, and the locations are real and identifiable. Definitely worth a look. If anyone has a Kindle you can pm me, I can 'lend' it to you.
