Can most/all Cambodians read a clock a.k.a tell time?

Khmer are not taught to read clocks in school.
Therefore most Khmer cannot read clocks.
For fucks sake they learn to tell time in grade 2/3 .

I think you may need to get out more, maybe a little further afield.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 12:21 pm
But she has a strange way of telling time. Instead of saying it’s 2:30 PM, she’ll say it’s 30 minutes before 3.
Just a few variations that you may find along your travels-
Five and twenty past = 25 minutes past
25 after
25 to
A quarter of....
5 before 12 = 11:55
Dix heure, et Demi = 10:30
Dix heure joins cinq 9:55
06:00 = oh six hundred (ie. early)
05:00 = fucking early
04:00 = yesterday
16:30 = 4:30pm. Yes, there are twenty four hours, nearly, in most days.
UTC/GMT/Zulu/Lima, etc
I’m sure there’s a few curious ones that other folk have encountered.
