We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A 75-year-old French man, JEAN CLAUDE JOSEPH SAVONA, passed away on October 09, 2020, at 9:55 pm, in a rented house in Sangkat Psar Char, Khan Don Penh, Phnom Penh.

The victim's wife named Sao Bunnakim, 33 years old, said she and her husband had been together since 2013 and stayed in that rented house since 2018. She said that her husband was sick with cancer. On the day he died, he was in bed, she gave him some water but he didn't move, and she realized that her husband had passed.

After getting the information, the local police reported to the prosecutor. They collaborated with khan Daun Penh district command, the Scientific-Technical police, the criminal police, the investigation and procedure department (Immigration Dept), and the autopsist to examine the body at the scene.

After the examination, the police concluded that the victim died of brain cancer. The body was taken to keep at Khmer Soviet hospital.
RIP and condolences to the family.
