Bag Snatching Thief gets a taste of Khmer Street Justice

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Same. I always find myself wondering what life handed the guy that thieving is his only option.
What makes you think it's his "only option"?

It is most certainly not his only option. There are plenty of ways to make money in a honest fashion, this guy just doesn't feel like working for his money and instead resorts to taking things of people who likely did work for that stuff. It's not even like it takes courage to do this shit. Any asshole can prey on the weakest members of society. If he did a bank heist or something he'd still be something immoral but at least that takes a set of balls to pull off.

Poor phrasing on my part, although my meaning was probably clear. Although saying that, I'm an ex-con, so who knows?

If he's like most of the young snatch & grab thieves in Phnom Penh, life shorted him on whiskey, whores, iPhones and a sense of right and wrong.
