Young Couple Arrested for Damaging Australian's Motorbike

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On October 01, 2020, at 09 pm, Khan Daun Penh police arrested a young couple from a group of 4 suspects, who damaged a foreigner's motorbike on the street 86/93, Sangkat Sras Chok, Khan Don Penh Phnom Penh. The suspects were identified as Phoeun Sophana, 28 years old man, Mon Sreynean, a 24-year-old Vietnamese sex worker, and the other two suspects who ran away, are named Sa, a 26-year-old man, and Pich, a 28-year-old man.

The victim, DANIEL LEE, a 61-year-old man, an Australia national, filed a complaint with police on September 22, 2020, at 9:30 pm. Then, on October 01, 2020, at 11 pm, the two suspects, who are a couple, were arrested for questioning.

The suspects confessed that they and their team damaged the victim's motorbike. The police are preparing the case for court following the legal procedure.

A week or two ago there was the Australian supposedly in his 40s with a bike stolen on Street 86 when he went with a lass for sex work.

Could this be the same case with some details mixed up? If so, then his work to keep his name off the net is undone, which would be frustrating.

For the moment, all we can confirm from previous media reports, is that on the evening of 22 September 2020, an Australian man had his motorbike stolen from outside a guesthouse on St 86 in Daun Penh district. The theft involved a collaboration between a streetwalker from Wat Phnom and her boyfriend, who were not named.
It's true that it would be unusual if two Australians had a similar problem in the same district of Phnom Penh on the same night.
