2 Tons of Cows' Feet Stopped at Vietnam Border

Cambodia News (Svay Rieng): On September 28, 2020, the Competitive Consumer Protection Officer and fraud suppression in Svay Rieng busted 2 tons of cow feet being smuggled into Cambodia through the Bavet border.

According to the request of the customs officer and Svay Rieng Provincial Excise, they checked on a load of cow feet that were imported from Vietnam through the Bavet border. The officers took those cow feet to a mini-laboratory to search for the chemical substance that harms people's health. The officers didn't find any formalin, but the 2 tons of cows' feet in 120 boxes didn't have the necessary documents identifying the source of the feet or an import letter, so they impounded the illegal load.

The officers then prepared the case, and destroyed the cows' feet at the landfill in Svay Rieng.

Or more accurately dumped them, bags and all, in the nearby swamp to go rotten and pollute the area. Well done chaps!
