Anti-Malarials

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Surely. There are a range of anti malarials as LTO has intimated. Not all Mosquitos are equal so some drugs are only effective in some regions. Also the mosquito will over a period of time develop a resistance to the drug. When the mosquito is resistance the drug is ineffective ie bugger all use.
The world health organisation rotate the recommended drug for particular areas periodically to defend against the mosquito becoming resistant. If LTO is correct that Malarone is the current recommendation (I have no reason to doubt this) this may change in the coming months or years so always check for current information.
I would emphasise a point others have made. If you are in generally good health and in PP, SHV, SR then I would not touch them. Malaria is rarely fatal unless you are in a risk group. These drug are nasty and should be taken with caution. The side effects are not pleasant.

BTW quite cock check shows its a he.
