This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. RocKwiz

Post by Joker Poker »

A long running rock Oz rock show by the name of RocKwiz would ask contestants what their first gig was and what their first album was. Not sure if it is still running now.

Anyway, interesting stuff often came of it, SO -

What was the first live gig you ever attended?

First single?

First album?

For me:

First gig - The Kinks supported by Aussie bands Daddy Cool and Spectrum at the Apollo Stadium Adelaide.

First single - Eagle Rock, Daddy Cool.

First album - Quo, Status Quo

Okay, I was young...

I'm so jealous, though I was a baby at the time, the Clash are one of my all time favourites.

Live:Chuck Berry/Bo Diddley- Brooklyn Paramont theater, Brooklyn, New York . I was 14, but had ID that said I was 18.

Album/Single: Can't remember that far back, but I did start listening to 78s and 45s about 1955. I do remember a 78 by the Charioteers (circa-30s/40s) doing a version of Summertime that I listened to a lot when I was young.
