Just on my back to Pattaya from a day in Bangkok using the Airport bus which has started running again with a reduced timetable. First time I've been in Suvarnabhumi airport since just before the shutdown started and what a weird feeling it was seeing the normally noisy and busy place bustling with life just so empty and quiet. The weird thing I noticed was the arrival boards were acomplete see of red - flights cancelled,. I wouldn't have thought they'd need to put them up on the boards, easier to just show the status of the limited flights operating.

Foreigners urged to renew visas before Sept 26

The Immigration Bureau has urged foreigners to renew their visas before the end of an exemption which falls on Sept 26.

Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau Sompong Chingduang said foreigners in the kingdom should contact immigration offices early to avoid overcrowding close to the deadline.

Thailand earlier announced an exemption for foreigners whose visas expired so they could legally stay in the country until Sept 26, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Short-term and long-term visa holders must contact immigration offices. When the visas are renewed by Sept 26, the validity of the renewed visa would start from Sept 27, he said.

Pol Lt Gen Sompong said all short-term visa holders must leave the country by Sept 26.

For those who cannot leave, due to flight unavailability or Covid-19 pandemic in their home country, they would need certification from their embassy or consulate for submission at an immigration office in their local area.

For the 90-day report requirement, all foreigners are required to report and inform the bureau of their residences by Sept 26, he said.

The 300 plan could work if all of the 300 were sent to a select few all inclusive luxury resorts. Each resort would be well appointed, with multiple restaurants, tons of activities, pampering to the stars. The quarantined would be restricted to stay in the resort. But have so much to do that it would take all quarantine to do it all.

Or could ruin it with the Tian Yi hotel approach that Cambodia has chosen. Confined to their rooms, fed substandard food (even by Chinese standards), limited to 2 small bottles of water a day. And then fleeced with expensive extras.

It’s all automated (forget the system name) and is connected to airlines. Not really worth the effort to delete info, or even possible.
