US$25-Million Investment Project in Kampot Province Considered
AKP Phnom Penh, September 12, 2020 --
Kampot provincial administration is considering a big investment project worth US$24.8 million in the province’s Kampong Trach district.
A technical committee has been established to conduct a study on the impact of the project proposed by Gold Coast International Development Co. Ltd.
Located on area of 42 hectares in Thkov village, West Russey Srok commune, Kampong Trach district, the project is composed of a commercial center, a 4-star hotel, a shopping mall, an entertainment centre, condominiums, and tourism services.
Kampot Provincial Governor H.E. Cheav Tay said in a meeting held on Sept. 11 that the provincial administration has formed a working group to review the technical and legal procedures before submitting the proposed project to the Council for the Development of Cambodia for approval.
Kampot province, one of the country’s four coastal provinces in the southwest, is considered as a potential investment hub as the government is transforming the province into one of the most attractive tourism destinations.
The Kampot provincial administration has set a goal to attract at least 2.5 million national and foreign tourists by 2023.
