Five Buffaloes Stolen Overnight
Cambodia News (Kandal): On September 10, 2020, at 05:40 am, five buffaloes were stolen behind the victim's house in Pong village, Kompol district, Kandal. The victims were identified as Oun Sokchea, a 32-year-old farmer, and his wife.
The couple had seven buffaloes in all, including two females and two calves. Usually, at 5 or 6 am, the woman took the buffaloes to eat grass and brought them home at 5 pm.
On September 9, 2020, the woman brought the buffaloes home and cooked food for her children. After that, she and her husband went to join a party. At 9 pm, she returned home before the husband to check on her children and buffaloes. All the buffaloes (and the children) were still there.
The next morning at 5 am, she woke her husband up to take the buffaloes out to eat grass. But when he went to get the animals, they were all gone, except for the two baby buffaloes that they found roaming around free, outside the gate.
The police are searching for the suspects.
