Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On September 8, 2020, at 10, at 3:30 am, a woman gave birth to her baby alone on the pavement on street 193, Sangkat Toul Svay Prey, Khan Beng Keng Kong, Phnom Penh.

A security man said he saw a pregnant woman came to sleep on the street in front of a phone shop. The woman was carrying a bag alone without a husband or any relative. After that, he heard the woman cry out, like she was about to give birth to her baby, but the area was quiet, so nobody came to check on her. A while later, he decided to check on her, and he saw that she already gave birth to her baby. So he asked the local people for help and called the police.

The woman, named Chan Davy, 29 years old, said she is homeless. Before, she had a husband and had two children, but when she got pregnant with another baby, he left her and took the two children. Since then, she has been alone living on the street.
The police called an ambulance to take the woman to the hospital.
