This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! The International Christian Fellowship based in Siem Reap has opened Cambodia’s first state-of-the art wakeboarding park in Cambodia, hoping that the initiative will generate revenue and provide new training and job opportunities.
The wake board park in Siem Reap includes a man-made beach and a bar and restaurant, and the the wakeboarding area, where riders are towed by cable systems and winches.
The park’s set up cost has not been disclosed, but the cable system installed by German company Wakeparx cost $350,000 alone.
The Fellowship’s Swiss co-founder ND Stutler said, “This wake park is also going to make our NGO more self-sufficient. We will always rely on sponsors, but this new business will play a major part in helping Cambodian families in years to come.”

Fantastic. I've always thought more NGO's should create businesses to generate revenue rather than become perpetual life long beggars.

Yes but there's a certain irony of creating a business with donations
