Christian NGO Opens Wake-Boarding Park in Siem Reap
NGO OPENS WAVEBOARDING PARK IN SIEM REAP
The International Christian Fellowship based in Siem Reap has opened Cambodia’s first state-of-the art wakeboarding park in Cambodia, hoping that the initiative will generate revenue and provide new training and job opportunities.
The wake board park in Siem Reap includes a man-made beach and a bar and restaurant, and the the wakeboarding area, where riders are towed by cable systems and winches.
The park’s set up cost has not been disclosed, but the cable system installed by German company Wakeparx cost $350,000 alone.
The Fellowship’s Swiss co-founder ND Stutler said, “This wake park is also going to make our NGO more self-sufficient. We will always rely on sponsors, but this new business will play a major part in helping Cambodian families in years to come.”

Fantastic. I've always thought more NGO's should create businesses to generate revenue rather than become perpetual life long beggars.

Yes but there's a certain irony of creating a business with donations
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.
