Bus Ride

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Bus Ride

Post by AndyKK »

Now this is a blast from the past for some of you hardened travelers. But if they don't get too many airplanes in the air, or travel becomes more like that of an expensive luxury only the wealthiest could do in the beginning of world travel.

Thing is if for some reason flights fail too the minions, such has being too expensive, then there maybe light at the end of the tunnel, someone mentioned the train, and now maybe a bus. :beer3:

the old bus trip
The original Magic Bus set off from a cockroach-infested office on Amsterdam's Dam Square and almost levitated across border posts on a cloud of hashish smoke. Travel was a state of mind, an inner journey fuelled by narcotics, an escape from suburbia and the emptiness of unexamined lives. Its travellers were stimulated by writers like Ginsberg and Kerouac, Beats who invented the "now life" in reaction to the deferred pleasures of their parents' world.
