The police reported that there was an argument between the suspect and the child's mother. Then, the suspect tried to throw a sickle at the mother, Krouch Sreymao, 50 years old. Unfortunately, the sickle hit the little boy, who was standing close to his mother. The victim was stabbed on the chest, cut through his heart. He died on the way to the hospital.
The local people all say that the victim is mentally ill, but there is no medical document to confirm this.

The CPU (Child Protection Unit) and FST team went to the scene to assist the investigation, and the suspect was detained in order to be sent to court on September 1, 2020.
