Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): A 21-year-old man, Sreng Channa, called Tren, a worker at a house no. 911, was arrested for spiking in the food, Sangkat Beung Tumnup, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as Fong Lim, 30 years old man.

During August 2020, the victim got strange stomach ache and diarrhea, so he went to the doctor to check on his condition. The doctor said that he got an illness because he took too much sleeping medicine. The victim said he has never used sleeping pills, so
he suspected the suspect and his wife, named Tang Lina called Nita, and the suspect, who was the chef, of spiking his food and water with sleeping pills.

On August 25, 2020, at 7 pm, the victim called the suspect for questioning and he confessed that he and his wife spiked the victim's food and drink since June 2020. The suspect's wife ran away to escape. The motive remains unknown.

The suspect has been detained at the police station for case preparation.
