Mongkolpetch Nabs The Win After Three-Round Thriller With Sok Thy

Aug 22, 2020
Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy bested his rival from across the border to pick up his 114th professional win on Friday, 21 August.
The Thai earned the unanimous decision victory over Cambodian star Sok Thy in their ONE Super Series Muay Thai flyweight clash at ONE: NO SURRENDER III in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the first round of their co-main event battle, Mongkolpetch began by throwing his infamous push kicks to the face of Thy, but fortunately for the Kun Khmer World Champion, none of them landed cleanly. To retaliate, the Cambodian sunk in a punishing body shot that reverberated off his opponent’s rib cage.
As the opening stanza progressed, both men looked comfortable trading blows – Mongkolpetch using his kicks and elbows, and Thy utilizing his straights and hooks.
With just seconds left in the frame, the Cambodian fired off a dangerously-fast left hook that just missed the Petchyindee Academy standout’s chin, sending a clear warning to his rival.
