Women Arrested for Fake Honey Scam in Pursat

Cambodia News (Pursat): On August 19, 2020, at 1:03 pm, the police arrested two women, Pov Sreyvuth, 38 years old, and Pov Somnang, 32 years old, for selling fake honey, in Toul Chrao village, Talia Senchey district, Pursat.

The two suspects rode a motorbike and were selling honey door to door to the local people. They went to the house of a woman named Pay Yu, 60 years old, who lives with a 22-year-old nephew, Bou Mengkouy. The suspects sold 200 liters of honey to the victim so that she could sell it to other people. But the jars of honey turned into brown sugar, so the victim then reported the scam to the village chief.

After receiving a complaint from the victim, the police called the suspect to take their fake honey back and give the money back. The police confiscated all the fake homey and a motorbike and sent the suspects to the police station for further investigation.

They would have been on the right side of the law adding slightly a little bit more, and selling their goods has Treacle or that of dark syrup.
